![]() I'm so excited this video has finally come out, it was another Clake/Oaten production made all the way back in January for the wonderfully named band Knickers and featuring the brilliant acting talent of Matt Kaufman. Once again we get inside the weird and wonderful mind of Laura Clarke (Laura who by the way does have a web page which you can view HERE) The premise for this one as you may have already seen involves singer Sarah Eisenfisz as a slightly crazy lady who lures men down into her flat before killing and stuffing them and then having all kinds of fun and games! ![]() The location was absolutely perfect, it was a really peculiar flat in Kensington let out as holiday home by some rather peculiar people, the decor suggested that not a lot had been done to it since about 1971, and when i say that i don't just mean when they last had it wallpapered I mean probably when they last cleaned it as well so it was slightly grotty and you wouldn't have been too surprised to actually find the body of dear old Auntie Hortense lurking in a cupboard, I was very impressed when i discovered that Matthew and Laura had actually spent the night there - I would have been shitting it!! ![]() Anyway I'm writing this four months after the event so recollections are now a wee bit dim but I do remember having so much fun on the making of this, particularly hanging out with amazing stylist Charlotte Oaten and going out for thai food afterwards with matt and the folk from knickers who i have to say are as lovely a bunch of people as you could ever hope to meet and i wish them all the best for the future.

![]() So anyone who's had the misfortune of coming into contact with me over the past week or so will have already have been shown these pictures along with me wittering in their ears about how I did video where I had to make some one bald, isn't it amazing etc etc. to their credit everyone looked politely at the images on my phone and agreed that 'Yes, the lady does not appear to have any hair, very good well done etc etc'. But I thought I would write an entry about it anyway, because aside from the dreaded bald cap it was a really interesting shoot. The band were called Strange Fruit (more about them HERE!!!) and the project was the brain child of design genius laura clarke and her Husband camera man Matthew Oaten. (I really want to be able to show you some of their other work but they are the kind of people who don't waste their time doing facebook and other such trivial social networking things so i'm afraid i'm having difficulty locating any.) ![]() But anyway back to the point, on a rainy bank holiday Monday we all made our way down to this amazing location HERE an disused chapel down in Peckham. (Being a North Londoner this was the first time I had ever been to Peckham, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was, no one even tried to mug me, although i was a bit disappointed at the lack of three wheeled vans about the place.) The premise for the video was a sort of Grimm fairy tale kind of theme, with singer Jenny playing an evil queen type of character, keeping our lovely actress/art model Zoe simon prisoner before serving her as the center piece in a banquet to three fat men. (As you do!) ![]() the three fat men were a lovely bunch to work with, although they couldn't have each been more different if they tried, on the left we have former techno Dj Lee Harris On the right we have William Ewing whose career highlights have included playing a doorman of 10 downing street in The Iron lady. And last but not least was the fabulous Clifford Hume (center) who when not eating naked ladies for dinner likes to tread the boards in drag as Dame Nellie Better ![]() Dinner is served by art director Olivia Hicks And all costumes were provided by stylist extrodinaire The lovely Charlotte Oaten. Despite a few hairy moments with the bald cap (oh god was not meant to be a pun I promise!!!) it was a fantastic day and i am really looking forward to seeing the results. ![]() and the band begins to play......... I was planning to write a big long entry about this shoot but since time is ticking on and i'm getting way behind with updating this thing I'm just going to give you the very short version and leave the pictures to do the talking. Basically while I was out in India I spent some time in Goa, and while I was there I happened to be contacted by the Lovely Leona Stephens-Ofner of Enchanted Clothing www.enchantedclothing.co.uk who wanted to shoot her catologue and was in need of a make up artist, was I interested? ummm...yes please! So we spent a fantastic but unbelievably humid day shooting in a nature reserve just outside of Arombal, I dont know how the models coped wearing Leona beautiful fur lined waistcoats and leather skirts in 40 degree heat but fortunately for us they did and photographer matthew Bennet http://mattjbennett.blogspot.co.uk was able to get the fantastic shots - enjoy!
